ENCLOSURES

Mobile. Modular. Resilient. Sustainable. Secure.

We build mobile boxes (shelters, containers, trailers, pallets). What we deliver are complex integrated systems suitable for deploying advanced technologies. These enclosures are typically inclusive of racks, environmental control, power, and are monitored and controlled by a suite of smart software.

A systems engineering approach is utilized to consider all aspects of a project. We discover real problems, identify the highest impact failures, and find elegant solutions. Using advanced computer-aided engineering software, we design, analyze, and test our systems subject to severe dynamic loads. This engineering driven approach assures our solutions are resilient, sustainable, and secure.

JLTV SHELTERS

The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) represents a significant leap forward in the U.S. military's ground vehicle capabilities, offering enhanced protection, mobility, and versatility over the legacy Humvee fleet. Wenzlau Engineering offers a variety of platforms well-suited to support current and future military operations, providing a strategic advantage on the battlefield. Our S-788/G SICPS shelter is large enough for operators. Shorter and lighter equipment-only enclosures allow for maximizing systems capabilities typically compromised due to the limited JLTV target payload. Our carbon fiber shelters offer the highest payloads while being very light.

FMTV SHELTERS

The Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) is a series of vehicles used by the U.S. Army and other military forces around the world. The latest version of the FMTV has seen significant improvements in protection, mobility, payload capacity, and advanced systems integration, making it a highly capable and versatile platform for modern military operations.

Wenzlau Engineering offers modified S-280 C/G shelters, ISO shelters and custom FMTV truck beds and interface kits. Construction material options include steel, aluminum, and fiber resin composites. All are available in TEMPEST SCIF configurations.

ISO CONTAINERS

You can identify an ISO shelter by its corner castings. These “ISO corners” allow the box to be lifted, stacked, and secured for land, sea, and air transport. Each container meets the strict dimension and interface requirement set out by the International Standards Organization (ISO).

The containers come in a variety of standard heights and lengths ranging from 5’ to 53’. Our 8’W x 8.5’H x 20’L being the most common.

Wenzlau Engineering ISO containers are manufactured using either steel, aluminum, or composites. All containers are customized to support the application.

TRAILERS

Trailer dimensions are flexible and can be configured to allow for large data centers and/or command and control capabilities. Air-ride suspensions and rack shock isolators protect systems from transport environments to increase system reliability. The size of the enclosures allows for security compartmentalization and separation between operators and electronic racks.

Available features include expanding sides, integrated power and cooling, telescoping masts, and just about anything else you can imagine. We build units for television broadcast, medical imaging, missile defense, battery energy storage, and even one for bottling beer!

PALLETS

In the Department of Defense (DoD), pallets are widely used to transport goods due to their efficiency, versatility, and compatibility with various transport systems. Pallets, such as the 463L pallet system used by the U.S. military, are designed to standardize cargo handling across different modes of transportation (air, sea, and land). This standardization reduces loading and unloading times.

We design custom pallets to support moving unique payloads and to allow for ease of loading and unloading on aircrafts.

INTEGRATION

Wenzlau Engineering provides end-to-end custom engineered rack-level solutions. We offer full-service rack engineering, integration, testing, cabling and labeling of your racked equipment. We collaborate with you every step of the way to build and optimize your IT infrastructure to survive mobile environments. Using proprietary finite element analysis and thermal flow models developed and validated over the last 50 years, we are able to quickly deliver highly resilient systems.

MOBILIZERS

Mobilizers are devices or systems that are used to provide mobility to stationary electronic equipment shelters or containers. Mobilizers can include wheel sets, axle assemblies, jacks, and other components that transform a stationary shelter into a mobile unit.

Key features include integrated lifting and lowering mechanisms, stability enhancements, and compatibility with various shelter types. Mobilizers are designed for quick assembly and disassembly in the field. This feature is critical for rapid mobility and deployment, allowing shelters to be moved, loaded on aircraft, or repositioned with minimal downtime.

We integrate Winglift Mobilizers for low speed movement as well as a variety of high speed mobilizers for on and off road applications. Various types of lifting and leveling jacks are available to support enclosure mobility and logistics.
